14 January

Look where I landed when I jumped. I landed in the middle of 8 strong, smart, interesting, passionate graduate students in my History of Stage Directing class. It was a fantastic first day.

They want to be successful and creative artists. They want opportunity. They want experience and knowledge. They want an education that matters.

I understand. Even if I wore a yellow shirt on the first day.

This afternoon? This afternoon I meet 71 undergraduate students in Stage Directing I. 71. I’m climbing the ladder again. This time there will be no hesitation. CANNONBALL! They won’t know what hit them.

No one but you and your BIG HEART could lead them in all of their goals. YOU will change their lives for ever…and the lives of many you’ll never know…such is the role of “teacher” my friend…such is the role of “Hungry students”!
